The occupations are in the fields of health, finance, resource extraction, and construction trades - including plumbers, electricians, welders, and pipefitters.
Foreigners with job skills on the list will be fast-tracked for acceptance as permanent residents.
The program was tabled last March by then-immigration minister Diane Finley as a way to trim the backlog of 900,000 immigration files and bring in the right skilled immigrants.
Although previous applicants faced wait times of up to six years, the new rules are aimed at cutting the wait to no more than 12 months.
